The crucibles, crystal boats, diffusion furnace core tubes for producing monocrystalline silicon, and substrate materials in wafer production are all high-purity quartz products. With the rapid development of the photovoltaic and semiconductor industries, the variety and quantity of high-purity quartz products have increased significantly. Quartz products are mainly made from high-purity quartz sand, processed through thermal and cold processing, making the manufacturing process complex. Nearly 90% of the global high-purity quartz sand market is monopolized by companies such as Unimin in the United States and TQC in Norway, while the global high-end quartz glass market (especially the electronic-grade quartz glass market focused on semiconductors and optical communications) is dominated by overseas companies like Heraeus and Corning.
